At our Little Sprouts Club – daycare, children learn by freedom of choice, independence, and age-appropriate activities under an appropriate environment setup with positive guidance from the caregiver. The learning environment is ready to deal with and answer the kid’s changing needs from toddler to kindergarten which guides the child to be logical thinkers, problem solvers, clear writers, thoughtful readers, and skillful computer users.

Why Montessori?
Montessori education was developed by Italian physician, Maria Montessori, who studied Pedagogy at the University of Rome. She developed Casa Dei Bambini in 1907, which was her first classroom in Rome.
The Montessori style of education emphasizes cognitive development and individual instruction with a child working at his or her own pace. Children are encouraged to teach and collaborate with one another, and a child is an ACTIVE rather than passive participant in learning.

Montessori Curriculum
Practical Life/Activities of Everyday Living
Practical Life activities instil care for oneself, for others, and for the environment. Through these tasks and experiences, children learn concentration, order and a strong pincer grip Practical Life activities are the foundation of all future academic work because they promote concentration and order.
Sensorial
The sensorial materials are designed to enable children to identify and refine information obtained through their senses and to order and classify sensorial impressions. By seeing, smelling, tasting, listening, touching and further exploring the sensorial properties of these materials; children begin to classify and eventually name objects in their environment.
Literacy
Our curriculum is rich in oral language opportunities- listening to stories or reciting poems, singing and conversing with others. Introduction of the Montessori sandpaper letters connects each spoken sound with its symbol, supporting the development of writing, and eventually, reading.
Mathematics
The Montessori math materials and lessons help children to develop and understand math concepts through the manipulation of concrete materials, building a secure foundation of math principles, skills, and problem-solving abilities.
Cultural Studies (Science, Geography, Social Studies, Art and Music)
All these subjects are incorporated into the curriculum. They are presented in sensorial ways with specially designed materials and real-life experiences. Children are exposed to a rich, stimulating variety of work through hands-on learning and group discussion.
